I've never had it happen to me, I am on my 2nd 360 though, I had a problem with the disk drive about 6 months after launch.

Annoying is it not?  I'm on my third one, but I haven't had a problem in months.  *knock on wood*

Damn that sucks dude. Five times now?  I had an elite RR on me.. that's the only time I've had the RROD.  Maybe you should sell that one when you get it back so you can buy a newer model.  I assume the issue is fixed with all the new ones.  I dunno?  When my elite died, the next day I went to wal-mart and picked up an arcade unit.. I could not  wait a month to get my 360 back.  Right now I've got both.. I haven't tried the elite since I got it back.. I need to sell one of these soon.  I'm not sure if I should keep the elite since its probably the same one I sent and its prone to have the same problem.. or keep the arcade unit which isn't as attractive asthetically.   Meh whatever  hope you finally get a 360 that stays alive!  peace
