Second play through. In PCSX2, graphics hold up very well, style looks great still. One of the most novel games I have played. Camera angles and object fade in distance can be frustrating at times.
Second play through. Iterates well on the first game, possibly the better of the two. More variations of levels, at their core they are still "roll up the most stuff" but adds some variety.
Final level both not as good and better than the original. The original had a better sense of scale in the final level, starting you off at a smaller size inside the house and giving you enough time to comfortably roll up everything you want. The great thing about We Love Katamari's final level is the addition of a progression through several country themed areas as you get bigger such as China, England, and America.
Music, although iterative, is across the board better than the original.
Dipp is the best cousin.
Interesting puzzle mechanics layered on at a good rate and with a good mix. Interesting story delivered between sets of levels at a decent amount. Levels ramp up in difficulty but not too fast. Evil red herrings. Difficult bonus stars, some exceptionally so.
(Hello!)(auto-translation-dictionary)(Why?)(Thank you!)
First play through. Difficult rhythm game with some enjoyable music and charming scenes. I'm willing to blame emulation for my seemingly more than normal troubles in completing the game.
