Preparing for P3P.....

So I recently started playing P3:FES to get myself pumped up for P3P.
I´m really digging it with the Social Link stuff being the most fun for me.
Also if someone has some tips for me on how to spend the time the most efficient be my guest since I have no idea when I should go to Tatarus and when I should do stuff like studying, going to the arcade etc. But yeah P3P is already preordered and I´m hoping that I get P3:FES done first so that I can play with the Female MC and have some experience when it comes to how to spend the time.

Hm...

I had my time pretty evened out, I'd spend maybe every two days going to tartarus unless there is a test right around a corner or something. I studied or went to the cafe' to improve my charm most times (as long as I had managed to reach tatarus' mid point then i would slack)

I usually spent maybe 3-4 days total in the month reaching the end of a part in Tartarus, the rest of the time if I needed to social link or somethinkg or get my charm up I'd do that.

If i felt under leveled (i always did) i would peek into tatarus again about 2 times a week just to grind a little. When I did that i spent time clearing out ALL shadow's from every floor before i moved up. Also doing Elizabeth's quests is a good way to grind and get things done. Watch out for Death though, if you spend to much time in a spot and you go up to find no shadow's.. it's time to leave.

Question, P3 Portable contains FES or not?  It doesn't matter anyway, considering the entire plot of P3 is voided with FES.  "oh look, the entire savior meaning was just a minor thing due to FES"

Nay. The Answer isn't there, it's just the Journey.

Anyway, I always felt underlevel'd on P3. However, Death can be pretty fun to fight around the 68-80 level range.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who HATED "The Answer", it's like if you had the story of Jesus and changed the ending to match it with FES.  The entire point of being a savior is broken.  If they JUST added new maps, bosses, etc...it'd be fine.

That's going on the territory of spoilers, relax a bit. And I liked The Answer. Although I was a tad disappointed with the final boss, mainly because I destroyed it on my first try.

Thanks for the advice. But what is Death and why does it/he appear? Can someone explain this for me?

@Sikila: just don't spend 6-7 minutes on a regular floor. 3 minutes on a floor that is said to have more/less enemies. Time with the menu up or in fights doesn't count.

I'm 30 hours into FES myself and I've had him appear once but yet to fight him... he's apparently preeeeeetty strong.

@Kowbrainz: Ok then. So he appears if you are on one floor long enough and then hes gonna wipe you out? Is there anyway to defeat him later on?

@Sikila: yeah, again I'm only 30 hours in but you can fight him and win if you're strong enough. Have heard there's even a quest for doing so, but it's not something you should really try until you're level 80 or something like that.

I've fought him twice cause he caught me.

6-7 minutes on a floor is fine I spent up to 10 minutes on each floor to get everything (or i went to do the dishes) and it was fine, it's just sometimes he randomly appears and you'll know he's coming, Fuuka will warn you first, going "I can sense Death!" and then you'll hear chains rattling. When he appears there will be NO shadows on the floor.

Best way is to regroup you team (if they are split up) and head up or to a warp point. He dosen't follow you tot he next floor, BUT he does stick around and within maybe a half hour he'll show up again. Best thing is to leave and be done for the day, he wipes you out with just a touch. I had so many unconscious team mates on the floor it wasn't funny cause he chases real time. He isn't fast you CAN out run him but your teamates most likely if he's close will get caught.

Wrong. I've fought him before with shadows still running around.

If you scan him it says he's level 99. He can be tough, but put Aigis+Akihiko in your team and you pretty much got him down. That is... IF he doesn't hit them with their weakness every other turn.

Wrong. I've fought him before with shadows still running around.
Funny cause every time i've fought him the room was completely empty. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
I would clear a floor... move up.

NOTHING.

I would collect the treasure's (MAYBE see a gold shadow fleeing) and he was there. Unless that is you draw a reaper card, but even when you do, the floor is cleared out before he shows.

@Catolf:
Depends, on a treasure floor he's just much more likely to show up.

As for Tartarus, my system was to get on a two way elevator and then just run up the stairs until a got to the next two way and then basically cycle those 10 floors or whatever until I could clear them with no issue. Then I was ready for the mid boss (usually much tougher than end of month bosses) or the next section (there are big jumps in floor difficulty later on).

You definitely do want to to kill death for what it unlocks.  Its how you can easily get to breaking the game (otherwise known as Satan with Victory Cry)
