I use the Pinnacle Game Profiler and a 360 gamepad for games I feel would be better using a controller. It's not perfect, but I find it works pretty good for the games I play.
I've been thinking I was alone in playing a lot of 90's PC games, but then someone mentions them in passing proving me wrong. Here are some of the games I played a lot in my youth that hardly anyone ever talks about:
Traffic Department 2192 was a not-so-great top-down shooter with a great story and one of the most badass protagonists ever. Lt.Velasquez is the most foul mouthed, anti-social cop there is in 2192, and the dialog scenes between the action were just the best.
Cyberia was so terrible, so unintuitive and difficult, and yet I played it so much. I was really impressed by the graphics back in the day too, turns out it does not hold up.
An adventure game that I seem to be the only one who played is Legend of Kyrandia: Malcolms revenge. So many frustrating puzzles and som many voiced lines stuck in my head because of said puzzles.
Sad news indeed, but as always an outstanding piece of writing. I'm glad to have gotten to know you, I'll take comfort in the fact that you will keep on writing and it will be interesting to follow your future endeavors.
@spraynardtatum: I think the anger he talks about was not used constructively. It was just emotion that he formed to internet comments. I think its hard to sit down and think "why am I angry?" when you are angry. I think there is a personal epiphany to be able to understand your anger like you talk about.
Exactly, I read @ssullys' post as "I used to harbor an anger based off of fear, the same may apply to a lot of the anger surrounding the recent debate, and if you feel that you are afraid for our medium, you don't need to be, it's going to be all right".
@ssully - If you feel that I completely missed your point, please let me know and I'll remove this post. I don't mean to obfuscate your message or derail the conversation.
