This was tricky. Except for Brad (RDR 2), Jason (Deadcells) and Abby (probably RDR), I have no idea where everyone head space is and there seems to be no real consensus except for Hitman and Tetris Effect. I dont know if those games are liked well enough to win and Tetris Effect is just more Tetris. I think Astro Bot could be a real dark horse but who on the crew has played it. I have it feeling it might come down to Alex again. Should be fun listen when it comes out next month.
Also I just realized i submitted Astro Boy instead of Astro Bot. Oh well :(
Everyone's game looks great in here. Can't wait to try them out. I tried thirteen deadly sins and it was great. I loved the art style. For anyone is unsure of themselves I recommend to give it a try.
I posted my game yesterday (great balloon adventure and it is not too great but i am okay with that) because I am heading out of town in two days. It was the first time completing a game and using construct 2. Construct 2 was a great tool to make a simple 2d game. My only other experience making games is doing online tutorials in unity. Unity is fine but if you are not comfortable with programming stick to a different game engine like construct (I did not find Unity too difficult but I have taken basic programming in university and write vba macros in excel at work).
Day one was amazing. Being a street fighter fan its going to be hard to surpass Friday. Today I will by watching street fighter cross tekken. This is going to be such a lazy weekend.
@video_game_king: I am being a little sarcastic as in I don't think the general public or for myself for that matter, would react to them any differently if Micheal reviewed them or not. For some people maybe they will believe the numbers even less. That being said I am a Pachter fan and I make sure to catch ever new Pach-Attack on Saturday.
According to Microsoft, gaming is the healthiest as it ever been. Last year the game related revenue grew 7% lead by growth in new business models and more gaming capable devices (they probably mean phones and tablets). There is now over a billion people in the world that play video games. More info can be found in the link below and this week's major nelson podcast.
