Very cool to see Vinny had a similar sounding experience that I did. I am a huge fan of this game and while I'm glad it is getting the coverage, I think it is much better played through as a more solo experience without really knowing too much ahead of time. The story is more of a backdrop but the emotional journey is what sold me. Also, the arcade mode you unlock by completing it is probably a better way to play the game without any breaks for scoring.
@grondoth:I'm pretty sure there is a new "Hexen-like" game releasing called Amid Evil. I also miss those games, I haven't gotten to try this yet so not sure how it is but it is very much Hexen inspired.
I have been falling off of the Giant Bombcast in favor of the Beastcast and others but this was a breathe of fresh air. I really enjoyed the energy and enthusiasm from the guests and the straightforward discussion and acknowledgement of the political climate. Shouts out to the GameSpot crew, I’m looking forward to checking out their new pod!
Abby continues to be a crack shot, especially with those dogs. I wasted so many bullets blind firing at them. Reminds me of the rubber banding asshole dogs in Bloodborne and Souls games.
You pretty much always have enough space for one healing item in this game, and the game throws far more of them at you than you might need. I found ammo to be far more scarce, so it was better for me to run down hallways knowing I would get grabbed and then heal up afterwards. I think its sort of the trade off this game wants to make considering its much harder to juke around the zombies.
