The worst part about this game from previous footage was that there seemed to be no visual indicators of any kind when you damaged enemies. They didn't blink or anything like that, their animation wasn't effected and there was no audio cues. I couldn't tell from this footage if they changed that or not, but I hope so.

I thought this was the nicest looking game shown so far. It should look even better on PC!

@deathpooky: Well you can get a 55" 4K for under $600 USD / $800 CAD. The first TV I bought when I was a kid, was a 27" CRT and that was $700 CAD like 15-20 years ago.

I was even more surprised to hear that Vinny apparently has "such a good pc" according to Brad, yet Vinny's monitor is less than 1080p, that's crazy. Vinny said he wouldn't buy the XB1X but would probably spend that on a new video card before he would spend it on an XB1X. That's fine and all, but who needs a $500 video card to drive a sub 1080p monitor? You can get a 24" 1080p 144hz monitor for < $200 USD. Vinny's fancy transformers probably cost around that much.

I wonder if the next gen of consoles will do something to help improve load times on consoles... I payed attention to two loads and one was 70 seconds and the other was 80 seconds.

As a Canadian, I find the GB Store has some absolutely absurd shipping prices. You should really just make the store credit optional since nobody in Canada (and presumably other non-US countries) in their right mind would buy anything from the store with those shipping prices (shipping costs as much or more so than the item you are buying!?!). It's a shame too because if not for the shipping, I definitely would have bought some shirts and sweaters and coffee cups.

@dova: The deal didn't actually start today. I renewed on Tuesday when I first noticed subscriptions were on sale.

@raszagal: Water cooling is not really any more complicated than air cooling, its just unnecessarily feared. In the stream, both Brad and Matt said they had to watch clips on google to figure out how to install a very typical air cooler. Not much about building a PC is complicated, it's just scary for most people simply because of the lack of experience.

Installing an air cooler / heatsink:

1) Install the backplate

2) Screw the heatsink to the backplate

3) Attach the fans to the heatsink

4) Provide power to the fans

Installing Liquid Cooling

1) Install the backplate

2) Screw the waterblock to the backplate

3) Attach the fans to the radiator

4) Mount the radiator

5) Provide power to the fans

I use custom liquid cooling rather than AIO closed systems, so you have to assemble that stuff yourself but the freedom outweighs the added difficulty. Being able to add whatever you want (like that 1080) to the loop is great, not just to keep it cool, but to keep it whisper quiet, even when gaming or stressing the cpu/gpu. Changing the brakes on my car for the first time, was harder for me than building my first computer, even with the liquid cooling.

Ever notice that everyone you speak to in this game already knows Ryo by name?

@zabant: Most houses already have (multiple) TV's in them, in many cases, big TV's. Hardly any programming is in 4K yet so splurging on a 4K TV might not be the way to go for everybody. The entry cost of VR is a lot of money for those living paycheck to paycheck but for people who actually have disposable income, ya gotta waste it somewhere. VR seems no more wasteful than hookers n blow, or whatever floats your boat.
