I got nothing this year honestly. I have zero clue where anyone's head is at regarding the site top 10.
I would have said RDR2 was a shoe-in for first place until this weeks beast cast and then with Dan REALLY turning on it and Jeff already being against it I don't think it plays. Spider-Man seems like It'll make the list but doesn't seem like a consensus pick to me. Cause when it comes down to the knives out nitpicking they are going to stab poor old spider man full of holes due to its side content and the battle system being okay but not amazing.
I have a nagging feeling that RDR2 is going to to be the "Witcher 3/Destiny at number 10 spot" game this year. Dan and Jeff (especially Jeff) will try to push it way far out and likely not want it on the list, but then Brad and maybe another person dig their heels in so much and throw a fit that they get consolation with it at 10.
If I'm being honest, I have a lingering feeling of dread for this years GOTY, mainly because of how rough and tense that last GOTY podcast last year was. I wish they went the method Vinny proposed in '16 when they added games to be considered rather than reducing from a pre-determined list.
Eh I don't mind it honestly, I'm getting used to it (also used to sites using this type of layout). The only issue I'm currently having is trying to get to premium versions of podcasts; it takes me more clicks to get to the ad-free Bombcasts/Beastcasts than it did before.
To note, I understand where the criticism is coming from and I think they're all valid.
Ever since Ben suggested it on the podcast I downloaded it and been hooked since. Probably the first mobile game in a long time that I sunk my teeth into.
While our house isn't a proper 1/2 story place, we have high outside balconies as well. What we ended up doing with our cats is either setting up a cat tree and/or box on a secure structure (like a table or chair) so the cat can still have the height that they prefer while also being outside if they wanted to. We offered extra incentives to go to those places instead of the balcony by leaving treats, warm blankets/towels, or cat nip. It worked most of the time, we did have one cat get on the balcony a bit, but he wanted to go after birds alot; the other cats don't care about them.
I am ashamed, but I walked out of John Wick 2 because I felt so sick enough that I knew I was going to pass out if I didn't get out of there and go back to my car to lay down.
As far as walking out because it was bad? Never, I am very particular which movies I choose to go to the theater and even the mediocre ones I wanted to see how far they went.
