Hey guys, I'm currently working on a very small Metal Gear Scanlon themed game as practice in my off-hours. Since I realistically do not have time to scour all of Metal Gear Scanlon (this is not limited to just V, I posted here because it was the most recent installment) for the various amusing quips that Dan, Drew, and Jason have said, I was hoping to enlist the help of the duders. Ideally I'm looking for as much of Drew's Snake impression bits to use as voiceover for Agent Scanlon, similarly with anything Dan has said that can be used as Colonel Ryckert. BUT, the soundbites can actually be anything said by Dan, Drew, or Jason that you found amusing, whether in-character or not, and think I should use in the game.

Basically all I need from any volunteers is the line in text, episode # and timestamp it was said in the video.

Also if you need something to get started, try Processing (https://processing.org/tutorials/). It's a Java derivative that comes with its own little self-contained editor without the need for complicated dependecy/environment setup. You write some lines, press Play, and watch your results. That's it. Less digesting theory and more tangible results that helps beginners iterate fast. It's geared towards visual things, but as you get better you will naturally learn the more advanced programming concepts that will be applicable everywhere.

You totally can. I'm an artist by trade. I was never great at math and I self-taught myself enough over the years to be able to call myself a programmer with a straight face. Programming is largely logic puzzles unless you're doing heavy simulation work (advanced graphics rendering/physics engines/science.) and even then people often underestimate how well they can comprehend algorithms. If you want to make regular business apps, games, websites, audiovisual experiences, etc. you'll be able to do so just fine. A lot of business IT is just scripting automation, hardly advanced science.

God they just need to have an event and replace a UPF with just a Metal Gear Scanlon day. If they can spend a whole UPF just playing Puyo Puyo or Battle Gaiden, why not the most popular content on the site for one day. Can't get enough.

I'm trying to find out what game it was that I played in the 90s, it was third person and in that Tomb-Raider-style polygonal 3d era (At least my memories of it are.) The main character was a guy with spiky red hair and had a gun which you aimed with a laser pointer as you walked around. I remember playing a level which _I think_ was set in some park, and the enemies I think were monsters or zombies. So it was maybe horror themed. I played it on the PC.

Somewhat more towards your wife: Is QC really as big a shitfest as Penny Arcade's Trenches insider side-stories make it out to be? People treated like disposable crap that gets laid off as soon as its been burned out?
