More Soul Calbur 4 review rage

OK. the graphics are "fantastic" and the fighting "feels right" but because the publisher wants to actually sell the game (unlike any other game... NOT) it's desperate!? WTF does that mean? I remember you guys saying soul calibur was "desperate" in a podcast months and months ago. And you are making fun of the story. Does your Beloved mortal kombat have some oscar worthy story that I am not aware of? Is the inclusion of DC comic charactors (admitted by all of you to be inferior to marvel charctors) not a desperate grab for attention? Please just admit it. You weren't going to give this game a fare shake no matter how fun it was ( and it is).

They do have a point though. Star Wars prints money. SC3 didn't. SC2 did because it has Zelda (at least on Gamecube). The fact is, SC hasn't been relevant since the DC era and has to rely on the "SPECIAL CONSOLE EXCLUSIVE!" pony to sell.

I don't think they're hating on the game since it's a rehash. They're hating on the game since it didn't bring too much new to the table. But then again, I don't like MK either, so I'm a neutral party.

Unless it seriously deserves it, I will probably be pretty upset if MK vs DC gets above 3 bombs when it is finally released. Too me MK comes off as being way more "desperate" by watering down the violence and by including not just 2, but a slew of DC comics characters that have absolutely no place in the MK universe into the game.
It seems that Batman prints a good deal of money these days so I'm sure he will be right up front on the cover of the box. If I wanted to see who would win between Superman and Batman (which I really could care less about since it is obvious) Why didn't they make a DC fighting game?
I realize Ed Boon with good reason is revered, but that should not be allowed to affect the rating of this game.
