Instead of telling us to go somewhere else. Why not post on toohuman.net and tell THEM to come on over here. Anyways, my personal thoughts on the game are a bit mixed. After I got the hang of combat I found it to be really fun and the game did seem to have a lot of unique loot, but the loot is basically all disc lookin' things no matter what it actually may be. This makes collecting loot less rewarding to me and takes the enjoyment out of it. The game also has a bad camera, which is due to the fact that combat takes place on the right analog stick...but I will still give it a chance.

Here is link to a more in depth preview...

The camera can actually be pretty good if you just let it do it's thing. It will usually swivel to the biggest threat which is very nice and useful. Did you try changing the camera style with the d-pad? I fully recommend iso.

Either the champion or the Berserker. Then again, if I can create multiple characters I might do all...

But for sure a melee class. That's were this game innovates and what I most had fun doing in the demo.

My main problem with the way bethesda has chosen to go with the franchise is that they went the easy way. There really isn't that many Fallout fanboys compared to Elder Scrolls fanboys. So they decided to make the game they are used to making, and are guaranteed all the elder scroll fanboys plus all the people who liked Oblivion. Since turn based is uncool nowadays, and iso is on the same wobbly track they couldn't be sure how many they would sell if they went that route. It has everything to do with PR these days.

But if they aren't making a game aimed at the Fallout fanboys, why did they buy that license when the kids these days could really care less about fallout(fallout what?)?  It's like if bungie shut down and in ten years another comapny buys the Halo license and sets out to make Halo 4. Though this time, it's a turn based rpg. All the halo fans would be pissed. You can't call that Halo 4, Halo is a fps, multiplayer fast action fun with tons of fun toys and game mods.  If  your making a turn based rpg, why did you have to buy the Halo Franchise? Couldn't you make your own setting?

It just comes of as disrespectful.

I've now played it about 3 times and must say I'm impressed. Kind of. It's kinda hard to adjust to the controls after all these years of the same controls for every action rpg. Once you do get used to it, the combat is awesome. The sliding, air combat, and finishers. You're constantly making decisions: do I slide or do a fierce? Do I have enough time to both? Do I knock them up into the air or try a finisher? When I knock them in the air, do I shoot at them or jump up there and melee them? Air combat or ruiner? spider or battle cry? The options are simple, but I don't think they will get boring. 15 different paths, add the items, and you got awesome variation.

Speaking of the items, the depth seems like it could be there. It wasn't there in the demo, but that was mostly because it's just the beginning and I doubt they put the whole loot system in the demo. My one problem with the items is that the effects on them weren't ever explained. Most were self explanatory but some such as hybrid damage or thermal damage weren't explained. Hopefully somewhere in the real game some of these more obscure effects are explained.

The story was just as bad as every other game, which has been expected. Video game writers aren't actual writers and they have a different idea of what is good which is to say they have no idea at all. :)

I like the mostly positive vibe here and am excited for release.

I agree. Lootin and shootin, what can be better? Over 500,000 guns. Right. :)

On the graphic front you can't really tell from the video, but they seem kinda weak. I guess with all the random guns spawning and all the enemies in first person view makes it hard to have state of the art graphics but it would sure be nice.

You can get Fable on Xbox Originals. I recommend trying it out, although you definintely won't need to play it to get the Fable experience. Just enjoy the game.

I hear it's a buggy mess. Plus, I think it's cheaper if you just pick it up at a store.

Please tell me this is a joke. Jagged Alliance 2 is the best turn based tactical strategy game out there. In the last decade, nothing has come even close. Plus, your missing the point of GiantBomb. The more that I think about it, the more I hope your joking.

Back on topic, I put this box art right up there with Baldur's Gate 2 and Serious Sam.

Sweet. I live right next to Seattle, only like 15 minutes away.

Hi. My name is Jared and I'm addicted to drugs. Oh, er...I mean games. Yes, games. And porn. Obviously.

I figured this would be a good topic to start breaking in the Too Human forum. I've been looking forward to this game for quite awhile now and was disappointed that I could not download the demo for the first week since I only have a silver account. Well good news, right at 2 o'clock AM it changed to allow silver members. I'm gonna download it in the morning and post my impressions later.

I'm curious to see how well this sells.
