Yeah... no, I wouldn't blame video games or even mention Dead Rising at all, they were hardly the first to use spiked baseball bats.

This gen, the first Borderlands is probably the only game that I didn't complete in single player because it bored me too much.

Otherwise, the gameplay in Nier was pretty damn terrible, but the incredible soundtrack kept me going.

Hey, all... I'm Gabe, and I'm Canadian, I've studied in Analytic Chemistry for 3 years, but I want to start over in a whole new domain.

I'm new here, never even lurked, though I did use your awfully convenient wiki. Decided to create an account and see how things (read, the community) were around here... The gaming community I'm part of, while at one time great, is now a former shell of itself in terms of activity, though the regulars are great... an alternative forum for the slow days could always be a nice thing.

I've been told plenty of good things about Giantbomb, and I hope it'll deliver.

Finalizing my first EV trained/IV bred Pokemon team.

Then getting my ass whooped on the third round of the tournament I entered.

1000GS'd the game.

The gameplay itself feels contrived and overly complicated at first, but it turns out to be one of the simplest yet satisfying RPG battle system in a while. Visually speaking, the game is also marvelous... the battles feel dynamic, the cutscenes are stunning, the decor is absolutely gorgeous.

My only gripe with the game is the story, it makes no goddamn sense. The way they introduce the Cardinals is kind of weak, and while some of them are funny (Pater), most feel like undefined character archetypes.

But yeah, the game is a solid B in my books.
