No, I haven't played it, but I've watched others play it and I would have probably put it on the list if I was listing more runner ups (I was trying to limit it to four per category, otherwise, for instance, games like STALKER: COP, Bioshock 2, Enslaved would have also made it in that category). I did list it in the "Best game that nobody played/bought" category though.

It's already bargain-bin priced at this point so it's definitely worth it. You do need to grind a bit though. Also, it's a tough game, but also fair (i.e. mobs are just as likely to kill you as bosses are), not to mention it has some pretty crazy moments. "
Well, crazy moments sound great to me. I'll think about it some more but I'll probably pick it up around Christmas time. Thanks.

It's already bargain-bin priced at this point so it's definitely worth it. You do need to grind a bit though. Also, it's a tough game, but also fair (i.e. mobs are just as likely to kill you as bosses are), not to mention it has some pretty crazy moments.

I haven't purchased Resonance of Fate because of the steep learning curve and the story not picking up until later on.  Should I still get it anyway, why or why not?

Well, the list is mainly limited to games I've played or games I've seen significant amounts of. :P

I dunno about that "best/worst use of in game advertising award". Shaun White Skateboarding's Stride gum adds that were "against the man" were preeeeeeeeeeeeeety good.
