The Shenmue run was a favourite and I imagine I'll like this even more, being a game that I actually thinks looks playable.

It is playable and they finished it. Also, this is a newer series.

I hope you aren't claiming Shenmue gets a pass because its older. That's not how games work.

You are replying to a post over a month old. It tried a lot of new things that other games hadn't really done before.

I hope you aren't claiming that newer games don't have the benefit of learning from what other older games tried. That's not how games work.

Most of the seafood places everyone is mentioning in the comments section are tourist places or the kind of place someone new to the area would go to, not real locals. You can't really get authentic or reasonably priced local seafood unless you travel miles. There's other more authentic local pizza places as well but they are a little further. Generally, the most named places are not going to be the best or more authentic.

It's just like watching the Shenmue ER...except that this is actually good, but still!

Shenmue was really impressive when it was released. This game is almost 2 decades newer.

Both of these series are fun, but this one has the benefit of having the audience give them input, and sometimes complain that they aren't playing it right, between episodes. The comments are actually pretty similar in both so far, it's that this is a newer game so more people commenting have played it.

Really enjoying this. At one video per week it will take them a pretty long time.

Are you going to come in here daily with new comments about the Shenmue ER that no one else is talking about? Let it go. How can you still be bent out of shape about that?

"Daily comments"

You have commented on this single episode more than 10 times already and replied to me twice about this, but you are talking about other people making daily comments.

I wasn't referring to you or anyone in particular, and I don't want to argue with you or anyone about it. You commented on that other endurance run quite a bit yourself. It's just a comment.

It's kind of hilarious to see people complain that "they aren't playing the game right" when people were saying the same thing about people discussing the Shenmue Endurance run.

This is a much newer series, so more of the audience here has played this where as they only heard jokes about Shenmue for many years because it came out before they played games. Shenmue came out almost two decades ago now.

This looks like it will be a good series. Too bad they didn't try to do many of the side things in the Shenmue Endurance Run like they are talking about doing in this series with input from the audience. They would have gotten more out of the game that way.

This is definitely a game that has better controls.

The new Hitmn game is a very good entry in the series, but there's definitely some areas where it left out things from the older games. They left out some gameplay mechanics.

There's no hideout between level, end of level newspapers, or local accents.

It's a good game, and it's great that a lot of newer people are enjoying it, but there's still some things from the older games that they could bring back and make it even better.

Kinda hilarious how many people here complain about how they play this game, but then were shouting down anyone who was commenting on the Shenmue endurance run. This isn't even the best game in the series, no reason to complain so much.

Still think Blood Money was superior in some ways because they left some of the features out of this game, and some of the the earlier games had more interesting stories and levels, but this was a still good one.

This was a fun series. Glad you enjoyed the game.

This is a great game for a quicklook.
