Wtf Liu Kang, I'd have to take him online to be sure but he seems like an absolute pressure monster. Two quick strings lead to over 1/3 life combos either starting in a low or ending in an overhead. And one combo is all it takes to take the opponent across 2/3 of the stage and into the corner. I've been avoiding corner combos in my previous videos to try and keep things simple, but with Liu Kang you really have to know when your opponent will and will not end in the corner because if you do the wrong ender, you will whiff. Wattah!

Why so godlike Starving

Raiden might not have that many options, but his teleport is just godlike :P doesn't really matter that you can't open up your opponent if you can just teleport and punish on reaction. As for Liu Kang, isn't the fact that you move so far during combos actually sort of a problem ? I'm thinking since you can randomly reach the corner which screws up your timing.

Also, that second combo you got with Raiden there looks pretty damn complicated =o

Played a Liu Kang with some insanely good record earlier today, had no idea what to do against him. Anything I tried would either be blocked and countered for a 30%+ combo, or be totally insignificant because he would break out of it and then do a 30%+ combo. Not fun. And as you demonstrated turtling doesn't really work either.

These videos are great! Very interesting stuff if I say so.

Raiden is S tier easy. Superman is one of the fastest specials in the game, covers full screen, pushes into the corner, has super armor on the EX version, and can be done out of any combo raiden does. His TP can be done on reaction to dodge tons of things, can be used in combos, and the EX version conditions the opponent to respect everything you do, opening up grabs. His AA would be weak, if it wasn't for air supermans being GDLK. His normals combo very well, though his good combos are crazy hard to pull off (53% corner xray combo is a bitch to get consistent.) His poke is crazy, with forward 24 and back 312 both having frame advantage on block. If they block you can grab, if they don't you either get a straight up superman (off the forward 24), or a 35-40%ish combo into a superman (off the back 312.)

The main thing about Raiden is his pressure is so insanely GDLK. Between frame advantage pokes, super armor supermans, and random teleports, you can't keep him off you if he reads you right.
