Watching these make me want to play Condemned. Too bad I don't actually own the game. 

I wish you dudes played Condemned 2 just for "that" scene. Anyone who has played it knows exactly what I'm talking about.

These guys are great.

I hope you guys get deep into Condemned - I've never found the the time to complete it and watching you guys is great entertainment. Keep going!

I played through Condemned 2 twice (granted, it's been a while since) and I honestly can't figure out what scene you mean. PM me please, before I jump into a third playthrough!

I burned out on the original Condemned when I rented it a while back. It's a pretty good game, it just got a little too repetitive and I had other games to play at the time. I do like the enemies and the central ideas behind the game and I think it's a really clever take on the whole survival horror genre. The enemies were pretty effective, they're genuinely dangerous and they mirror the down-and-out nature of the protagonist quite nicely. In a lot of ways they're a spin-off of the conventional zombie - they're human beings that have lost their humanity, in this case through drug abuse and mental illness rather than zombification. I'd be really interested to see the franchise come back and I find it much more interesting than the F.E.A.R. franchise.

@junglistgamer: I absolutly loved the first Condemned when playing through it the first time (long ago!), and I liked the sequel almost as much. Sadly I think the franchise is dead nowadays, but I try to be optimistic of seeing a third entry, hopefully without a forced multiplayer mode this time.

Guys, I have two requests:

1) PLEASE keep getting further in this. At least until you get to the shopping mall, around mid-game. It's the first stage that's legitimately scary.

2) Could you please turn the game audio up for this? Condemned has some of the best sound design of the modern game era

Oh man, I almost forgot how much I liked this game. Need to buy it again sometime. 
 
That shopping mall level genuinely scared me. Damn mannequins, can't trust any of them.

Looking at the list you guys have a pretty good collection lined up. But for other suggestions there's the Saw games, any of the Clive Barker games, or Nightmare Creatures. Metro 2033 would be alright but not sure if that would be considered scary? In the RPG realm you have Parasite Eve. In the mold of Resident Evil you have Dino Crisis.

Edit: Thought of two more. Rule of Rose and Obscure. Also Haunting Ground is similar to some games you have on the list already.

Awesome! I am really enjoying the Fear Gauntlet and especially your coverage of this game.

I don't know if you'll ever get to trying out Condemned 2, but that starts out pretty great as well and would make for some sweet episodes.

@dvdhaus: I'd put Metro 2033 in the F.E.A.R. bracket of horror games. It's still, at its core, a first-person shooter but it's got its share of scares and the whole gas mask mechanic can create some real tension.

I'd second the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games as a possible suggestion, personally I thought Shadow Of Chernobyl was a bit scarier than Call Of Pripyat.

What was that PS2 franchise about a girl with a camera taking pictures of ghosts? I never played it but I've heard survival horror fans speak about it enthusiastically. Anyone know what I'm talking about?
