I remember how pissed I was when Barry gave me Acid Rounds and I couldn't use them. I was all psyched up for a weapon and instead I lose an inventory space. F' that, man.

Anyways, I don't know how much longer you guys will spend in Resident Evil town... but I hope you guys at least get to something gigantic.

Ending the Resident Evil Fear Gauntlet against Yawn the giant snake would be perfect.

GOD watching people play games which I have already finished a looooooooooong time ago can be so frustrating! Check the goddamn bed in the saferoom Kessler!

Also it varies how much damage each zombie takes. I feel like reaching throug my screen and grabbing that controller to show them how it's played.

Yep I'm totally the dude flipping out watching this. ;P

Dude you are pretty bad at videogames, I beat this very game at the age of 8. So as the world's greatest method actor would say:

Protip: Look for a pool of blood under the zombie to know if he's dead or not. No use in wasting bullets on a dead zombie on the floor.

For some reason, I had a dream last night that I woke up to find this video, only you guys decided to charge 30 dollars for it.

Now that they are a Time Magazine Top Website (tm) they probably will do that.

Watching this has made me appreciate modern save systems.
I don't think it has anything to do with modern since some NES games have unlimited saves. This save system was probably specifically chosen in order to make the player make choices and conserve, just to add some tension.

@Nottle: Well modern game design philosophy then. I have a hard time seeing a game using a similar system this day in age, and I personally think that's a good thing.

@Slaker117:  Yeah, I think It just depends on the game. I don't think people would have a hard time playing through RE1 as long as they are playing smart, so I find the weird design choices kind of interesting.  Also this save system would work only in this type of game and when was the last tank controlling survival horror. Imagine if something like Mass Effect or Elderscrolls had this saving it would be insane.

Matt and Steve you guys rock! You guys are doing a great job with a very good feature and i like it a lot. Now i'm pretty sure you guys record videos in advance so i'm not sure how helpful the following tips will be to you but whatever.

- The knife sucks imo, get rid of it.
-Check the background carefully, some items are are easy to miss. For example the box you moved right before you guys got attacked by dogs contained a pistol clip if i remember correctly.
-Ammo conservation is a must, the shotgun really helps in this regard because you can kill group of zombies with it if you line your shots correctly.
-Checking things in the menu screen is a must later on, you have to rotate certain objects specially keys in order to know where to use them.
- Red + green herb makes a full healing item, same goes for green herb + green herb +green herb. Green herb + Green herb makes for a medium healing item.

Yeah that's all i got for now, it's been awhile since i played the game.

This is the best thing since the Persona 4 Endurance Run.

I'm going to be a little sad when they decide to move on to another game.

Okay I take back my earlier statement. The part where Kessler inspected Kenneth's corpse, mused about taking his ammo and then didn't check him a second time to actually TAKE HIS AMMO was way more frustrating, especially as he checks locked doors twice all the time.

Still love this series to pieces.

Wait, you can take his ammo? Why would they make that a second button press? That's silly. Matt and Steve probably assumed, like me, that checking him again would just result in a repeat of the message.

I know many others have said this, but I would love to watch an Endurance Run of RE1 with you two at the helm, but I'm also interested in the rest of the Fear Gauntlet! Either way, it's great content.

Because it's survival horror, and in survival horror you always check things at least twice.

These are fantastic. Even though it's hard to not yell at my screen "Matt your are doing it wrong!!". I just finished RE DS the other day which makes this slightly more irritating.

Tips:

- You can easily run past most the zombies.

-Knife is a waste of time and just wasting your space

-Save the shotgun for later....Hunters.

Hey, on the bright side, most RE zombies don't respawn.

You mean they added that to the gamecube remake?

One of the most notable additions, and is the only RE game to have such a mechanic as well. Basically, after you've killed a zombie you have to burn the corpse (and that requires two items as well, which naturally take up your limited inventory) otherwise it'll eventually reanimate (again) as Crimson head zombie, which will sprint at you and even have like these talons as well.

And squishy feet.

Luigi's Mansion -> Castlevania 64 -> House of the Dead 2 -> Doom -> Resident Evil.

From what I can tell anyway.

Okay, apparently I missed quite a few days...
Also, I saw Resident Evil 4 pretty high on the list, although it shouldn't be.
