@Linkyshinks: Because it's been off of a lot of outlet's radars. In addition Giantbomb has a mere three people to go around and see all the games they can, so it's easy to miss a smaller game like this. That is until they heard all the buzz about it.
I've thought about using gamefly many times, but I've never actually jumped in and done it. I think my issue is I'm impatient. But I saw that they've opened a new shipping center in Austin Texas, and considering I'm in the middle of Oklahoma, that's *much* close than the other three they had before.
So basically...what's your experience been? Is it worth it?
@AgentJ: Both Jeff and Brad said they really regretted not seeing it at E3. They'll see it soon enough, it just hasn't been on their radar (understandably) up until this point.
The IGN video is incredible. Not only can you summon god, a skateboard, and a shotgun...but god can hold the shotgun and ride the skateboard at the same time. They aren't merely stand alone objects, but they can interact in many different ways.
I think Red Steel 2 looks pretty awful, mainly because of the poor use of motion plus (or at least that's what people have been saying about it). But Brad seemed pretty up on Silent Hill and Jeff has been saying New Super Mario looks amazing. I completely agree about Scribblenauts, that's my most anticipated game at the moment...but I've seen it get a fair amount of attention. Joystiq said it was the game of the show for a lot of them (I dunno if it officially was or not though), and Kotaku and Destructoid have been saying it's awesome also.
