The sort of good-natured, faux-adversarial ribbing the rest of the crew gives Jeff is definitely a cultural thing here in the NY area. It can seem jarring and excessive to people who aren’t used to it. But I *am* used to it and I still think the Beast crew took it way too far. By the end, not only was it uncomfortable, it was just plain tired. Do better.
@vinny: As an Italian-American, a New Yorker, and a Vincent with an increasingly problematic hairline, I've always looked to you as a role model. I've never once had cause to regret that, and I don't expect I ever will. Because you genuinely care. The way you've conducted yourself over the years and the wisdom you've imparted has in some small measure made me a better person. So thank you for being great, and thank you for striving to be even greater.
Those of us who don't have to deal with hateful garbage directed toward us every day have an obligation to push back against it every single time we see it. It's the least we can do. For those with a platform, that responsibility is even greater. Getting tired of dealing with it and deciding not to engage is a luxury that those targeted by this vile shit don't share.
Nobody seriously believes anyone on the GB staff is a bad person, but doing the right thing in the past doesn't absolve anyone of the responsibility to keep fighting.
From everything I've heard about the console versions (especially XBONE) I'm surprised this review didn't get split into two scores. Framerates dropping into the teens and 15(!) minute loads sound worse than anything Fallout has going on.
