@adoggz: I suppose it's possible Desmond has a little Japanese in him but the reason the series has focused on Altair's bloodline so far is because *spoiler* they are descendants of a union between a human and one of those-who-came-before *end spoiler* hence their natural agility and eagle vision. It's true one of Altair's lineage might have had a Japanese spouse and the animus might be able to trace Desmond's ancestors back to feudal Japan through that spouse but none of these ancestors would be able to use eagle vision or *spoiler* be descendants of the mixer union *end spoiler*. It's possible that a separate mixed lineage was started in Japan and that it merged with Altair's lineage but you might as well have another descendant if you're going that far.

It's not like this is a particularly new phenomenon, we've been killing guards who were just doing their job since the first game. Honestly, if guards weren't placed on roofs I wouldn't kill nearly as many people in my playthroughs.

You are, however, an assassin. It's true the game never calls into question the morality of your actions, at least to your face but their creed is "Nothing is true, everything is permitted." after all.

Okay, in the assassin's we have a bunch of very agile shadow warriors who pit themselves against traditional authority. Where, in history do we have a similar type of warrior? Why, the ninjas in Japan of course. Japan even comes equipped with its own unique architecture and in AC: Brotherhood  *spoiler* it was revealed that there was an assassin team based in Japan *end spoiler*. The only problem is fitting the Altair bloodline in. Altair and his descendants seemed to live around the middle east, Europe, and eventually the U.S.A. and Japan was largely an isolated nation for much of their history. Maybe we could have a spin-off with a different main character and a different set of ancestors. I would also love to see a western gaming company's take on Japan.

I think this will mark the first time I won't be choosing the fire starter. Just something about the combination of him being a stupid pig, having ugly evolutions, and being the third fire/fighting started in a row finally put me off the fire trail.

I think I'll pick Smugleaf because he looks the best.

Designs aren't that bad, I'm sure the 10-year-olds that this game is marketed towards will appreciate them.

I like the dual/triple tech system they had in Chrono Trigger. I remember using party members I never considered using just to see new techniques and the triple techs were always awesome. I would play so many more JRPGs if they included this mechanic.

Also, I don't know if it's a mechanic or a style of play but the way you fight in the Super Smash Bros. series by racking up damage and sending your enemies flying is a lot of fun and I wish more than one series would use it.

" @SuperBuster: Oh wow, I really, truly, deaply apologise. It was such a spur of the moment, what with a picture of her being featured on the link to comicvine a while ago, that I really didn't remember at that moment that there were two Comic-ish companys. Allow me to edit my post to remove this foolishness. "

Invariably, action/adventure games like Zelda, Assassin's Creed and Arkham Asylum end up being my favorite games so naturally I would like more of their type.

I like Game Informer. In fact, with their extensive preview section I usually know what games I'm going to buy before they come out. I don't hate Giant Bomb, it's just that I agree with Game Informer's reviews more.

When all else fails I go to metacritic.

" What character wouldn't I want in MvC3? Anyway here's my list off the top of my head.

  • Mega Man (Classic)
  • Mega Man X (Would also work)
  • Mega Man ZX (With transformations, also preferably the Aile incarnation)
  • Jubilee (with fireworks, not as a vampire. I know, wtf right?)
  • Wonder Woman (I dunno, she's kinda hot. Plus they could have her in the new costume with the old one as DLC)
  • Gene (I have heard it said that it is god power that keeps his pimp hand strong, sounds good to me)
  • Strider ( You can never have enough red scarfed ninjas amirite?)
  • Maximo (Somebody has to remember this guy right?)
  • Chuck Greene (Haven't really played Dead Rising but he seems like a nice fit for the game)
  • and Phoenix Wright if only to piss people off.
"
I'm sorry, the comic book nerd in me just couldn't let this go. Wonder Woman isn't just DC, she's part of the trinity of the most important characters in the DC comic book universe, the rival company of Marvel. You bothered to link her comicvine page, how could you not know she was DC?

Unless you're not serious, in which case I didn't think I was this easily baited.

Megaman X (honestly, he should be a main character) / Silver Surfer
Gene / Gambit
Chuck Greene (or Frank West) / Ghost Rider
Strider Hiryu / Green Goblin
Jin Saotome / Venom
Captain Commando / Iron Fist
??? / Psylocke
??? / Madrox (Multiple Man)
??? / Ms. Marvel
??? / Spider-Woman
??? / Scarlet Witch

I'm pretty much satisfied with Capcom's side with the exception of the absence of Megaman but Marvel's roster needs some work. X-23 and She-Hulk, seriously?
