Currently running dual 1080p 75hz 21:9 ultrawides (monitor 1 & monitor 2) on an RTX 2060, with the newest monitor being Freesync which Nvidia now supports. In my experience:
G-Sync/Freesync has made the biggest difference since I don't experience tearing in games or video anymore.
Many games that don't natively support ultrawide can be unlocked via patch or modifying an ini. Most recently I was able to unlock ultrawide on Bloodstained, Outer Wilds, Sekiro with some UI side-effects. I remember in Yakuza 0 there was a cutscene where I saw the face of a person in the periphery that was meant to be hidden in 16:9.
PS4 and XBOX don't support ultrawide. It appears pillarboxed.
I was running a single ultrawide monitor until recently. Wasn't expecting the desk space two would take up.
The newest monitor I got is HDR so I could hook it up to my PS4. Windows HDR mode however is weird -- colors pop but the default white balance becomes Cool, so what appears white on my old SDR monitor looks bluish-grey in HDR. HDR mode can be toggled in Windows display settings.
Rock Band 3 (mostly drums) since 2010. It's the only thing keeping my fat 80GB PS3 alive. The song I've played the most is probably "Here Comes Your Man" by the Pixies as that was one of the earlier DLC tracks.
I'd say it's my 6th favorite out of the ten Tarantino films. A darkly funny fairy tale. It's really slow...many film production scenes linger for too long but then again the time capsule immersion wouldn't be as effective if they didn't. Leonardo DiCaprio is acting his ass off in these scenes. And Brad Pitt steals the movie as DiCaprio's best friend...Hollywood's typical white hero fantasy character who talks like John Wayne, says the best lines, and has superhuman abilities.
ROBOCOP 2 3/5
Through adult eyes I realize how much darker it is from the original with less character development. The stop-motion Robocop vs Robocop 2 fight is really cool --the closest thing to a live-action Transformers movie at the time. It's crazy how it casually shows kids committing R-rated violence, then double downs on the satirical TV clips making the tone really weird. It is such a weird movie that it doesn't even have an opening title card...it just starts.
