Am I the only one who doesn't think that new Doom is "fast like a Doom game?" Like, it's fast compared to the contemporary shooter, sure, but this still looks like molasses compared to Doom-ass Doom. Am I crazy?
Jeff is completely right about Twilight Princess. It probably seems great if it's your first Zelda game, but it's terribly predictable and rote if you've played the others. I bought it the day it came out and have never been able to finish it. The wolf parts aren't great, and the game is way too easy. I guess this version has a hard mode, but apparently flips the game world to the (worse) Wii version for no good reason. The worst part is knowing that they canceled Wind Waker 2 to make this game instead. Wind Waker is AMAZING and they canceled it because of the idiots complaining about the (gorgeous) art style. If you haven't played it yet, you should absolutely go buy the HD remake instead of this.
I've played every single Zelda game to date, and I love Twilight Princess. It has its flaws, for sure -- count me among the people who hates everything to do with the wolf -- but for the most part it's a solid execution of the Zelda formula. Since that formula does a lot for me, I don't mind a game being just that. A lot of people seem to weirdly be making this into a WW vs TP thing, but I don't see how there isn't room to love both. I've played through Twilight Princess probably about as many times as I've played through Wind Waker, and have the urge to do so again.
(Also, I'm kind of surprised to hear someone complaining about Twilight Princess' lack of difficulty, only to turn around and praise Wind Waker -- which I've always considered to be the easiest of the entire franchise. Do you consider Wind Waker more difficult?)
Wow the lets bash Microsoft episode by Brad and Jeff. with Halo 5 out and Tomb Raider coming they must be doing a solid for there boy Adam during this festive holiday season. Grazzi grazzi don Boyes. And may your first child be a PS fan
This is pretty hilarious, considering all the people upset with Brad and Jeff for their Aaron Greenberg interview -- insinuating the whole thing was a commercial for Xbox that they just let happen because they're such Microsoft fanboys.
