I have been away from video games and my computer all weekend and I was surprisingly okay with that.

This has all been positive and insightful feedback.

I'll probably try a combination of suggestions that you all have given me. Most importantly, going forward, will be self control. I really have to decided whether I will play something or not, despite how cheap a game might be.

Also adding some additional filters/categories to my library will help further organize the games I already have.

@mattyftm: I suppose it better than having 1200 physical games taking over your living space.

Is the a solution or is it just a matter of self control?

Thinking about it, I would say a union would be the most likely solution to this problem. It is not always ideal but it seems to be the only real solution out there.

What about having a large publisher/develop set an example for its peers by establishing a better environment for its workers start a trend? Do you think that is something that would/could ever happen without the establishment of a union?

Yay! They read my question!! And while a cable/satellite subscription is not out of my mean, I have no desire to pay comcast 140 a month for like 5 channels. However I'd gladly pay dollar amount similar to Extra innings or Center Ice for access to the full F1 season every year. Come on Bernie!!!
