Success! Bought the slim Xbox 360. It suffers from similar issues but I placed the repeater in the door of the USB port on the side of the IR sensor and it works flawlessly.

After a recent trip to Ikea, my wife picked out a tv stand that my components will not longer fit in so I ran everything to the utility room and used the impact acoustics IR Repeater to route my signals to the components. The only one giving me an issue is the Xbox 360. I tried removing the faceplate and placing the repeater directly over the eye but nothing works. I should note, I am using a Harmony remote that works fine when turning it on directly. Also, I would be willing to upgrade to a slim if anyone has had success with that version. Any Help Would be great.
