Well i found a Microsoft wheel fo $60 on craigslist so I'm going to stick with xbox until forza 4 comes out and see what the new official wheel is. Hopefully they realized fanatec can't keep up with demand and will go with Logitech or Thrustmaster =\

" My busted ass pc ran dirt just fine. I cant speak for dirt2  however I realised there were some graphical improvements. But did the engine really change that much?G25 / 27's are very good wheels.  I have a G25 and love it to bits. Unfortunately they don't work with the 360 something about MS not getting any money from the peripherals.   as such i play most of my racing games on the ps3.  only dipping into the pc for racing when I want a true sim like experience. i.e. Caterhams :D  but the price of the logitech wheels is a turn-off. but damn they are fine ass wheels. "
I actually think the $300 for the G27 is reasonable compared to the $500 for the Fanatec 911 GT2. I'm looking for another wheel that is comparable to the G27.

" I fail to understand how your HD6850 sputters with NFSHP when my non-OC GTX260 runs Dirt 2 on max perfectly fine with 8xAA. IIRC, Dirt 2 is a more graphically demanding game, but I could be utterly wrong. I don't think you should be facing processor bottlenecks...

" It seems there are no mid range wheels for the 360. The Fanatec is $500 for the set... I'd like to find something like the Logitech G27 but that doesn't seem to be an option. I have considered going PS3 as another option and selling my Xbox 360. o.O "
I have a PS3 now, but no wheel. Never been a fan of them, despite my love for real-life driving and racing games. 360 has lousy racing accessories.  If you're willing to put up with GT5 until late-May, I'd say go with it. GT5's driving physics are phenomenal as compared with Forza's, but the game aspect leaves much to be desired. "
The reason my computer has 'issues', rather I get 45 fps, is because I'm using Catalyst Control Center to override the game's anti aliasing.

I've always been a big racing fan. I own both a PC with a Core i5, HD 6850 and an Xbox 360. I haven't played my Xbox for a year as I've be exclusively a PC gamer since that point. I have a few concerns with PC racing games. First, the only racing game I own on my PC is NFS Hot Pursuit and it looks like an aliased mess. Even with Catalyst Controls turned all the way up it still looks poor. Do most PC gamers find similar results with games like NFS Shift, Dirt 2, etc? Does PC maintain good online competition in these games? I tried to connect to a game of Hot Pursuit and ended up with only one player to play against... one. Any input would be appreciated! Thanks ya'll.

Will I see the changes from cataclysm? Also, I'm hearing that the early level have already been updated? The WOW trial I'm downloading is 4.0.0.12911. Thanks for your help!

I recently upgraded to an X360 slim and wanted to redownload all my music that I purchased but I keep getting this error. I'm sure it's not a network setting as I can connect to live. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

This game was great at first. This was my first Civ game and I've played through about 3 full campaigns on increasingly different victories and leaders. The problem is that the game offers very little incentive to play any other way than a militaristic victory. I tried to play through a science and economic victory but found my self simply clicking on the suggest production as the games progressed. There is no micro managing or city building aspects that are rewarding. When I build a coliseum, monument, circus, etc, there is nothing to show for it other than the stat progression. I can't understand how this game has had such appeal over the years. I've only recently been interested in this style of game and can say that Dawn of Discovery is a far more interesting, albeit different, game. While that game has real time elements vs turn based, I feel it is incredibly addicting and serves a similar need to Civ. Not trashing the game; it is beautiful and has an interesting risk-esque board game style to it, but it is far over hyped.
