It was incredibly difficult to listen to the discussion in this video without wanting to put my face in my palms. Whenever the crew veers into conversation about science or art it just becomes painful to watch...oooof
Wow, welcome to every single video game show on the internet. 3-4 dudes sitting behind a slightly vaguely futuristic looking desk. I personally think it detracts from their whole aesthetic. One of the reasons I like Giant Bomb so much is it has always felt to me as though one was hanging out with friends when watching the shows. Sitting on the couch allowed the viewer to feel like at any moment you could share a drink or pass the controller. Now it feels like there is a literal barrier between them and us. They're the hosts, we're the audience, never the twain shall meet. Did the old couch need to go? Absolutely. Could they have gotten a new couch? Absolutely. The show still seemed fine, but it honestly had a feeling of distance the entire time. I'm hoping I will get used to it, especially with set dressing, but I'm really bummed out.
