The Best of the Fear Gauntlet - Part 1

In the past couple of months my favourite piece of Giant Bomb content wasn't even Giant Bomb content. I'm talking about The Fear Gauntlet. I've always had an interest in horror games, so I knew it would be great when I first heard the announcement. Now, after 25 episodes and with the completion of Condemned behind us, I felt the greatest moments had to be collected. So here it is: The Best of the Fear Gauntlet.

I don't usually do a lot of video editing, so constructive criticism is very welcome.

Great video, duder. I think the Fear Gauntlet has risen to the point of being just as entertaining as the traditional Giant Bomb video features, and your video shows a lot of the reasons why.

Though I am a little sad that there was no inclusion of Rosa knowing where the library was.

I'm glad you included Steve's freak-out over the red chair in Condemned: Criminal Origins. That shit was hilarious.

OH-OHMYGOD.

Thanks!

You're not the first person to note the missing "library clip". I must admit that I have no idea what you're all referring to, and I'm sorry to have missed a golden moment.

If anyone can point me to the video where the line is spoken, I'll be sure to have it included in the next installment.

It's a running joke that starts in the 2nd or 3rd video of Condemned, I think. It's one of the first times Rosa starts talking to you. Her name is a common Hispanic name, and apparently the only thing Kessler remembered from taking Spanish in school was "¿Dónde está la biblioteca?" (Where is the library?), which he says. Pretty funny for anybody who learned Spanish or French in elementary school.

There are a bunch of later moments where Kessler keeps mentioning that Rosa "won't tell him where the library is" and things like that, though I could understand you missing them because if you don't remember the initial joke, it just sounds like Kessler making no sense. And then eventually Kessler's stupid running joke is vindicated when Rosa actually asks you to come meet her at the city library, making that an unpredictably hilarious moment.

That is my current plan. However, with the current speed of the Fear Gauntlet (1-2 episodes per week) it could take a very, very long time.

It has now become part of my Halloween tradition that I go back each year and watch all of the Fear Gauntlet. Man I miss this.
