@turambar: A very tricky subtlety to the situation is that when people communicate they tend to fall back on patterns that they have been socially conditioned to expect or think are appropriate. I don't think he made a calculated effort to do the things that Teasdale mentions. I think he went to a familiar pattern of communication that he has been taught by experience and broader social exposure to think of as innocent without evaluating the deeper assumptions about people's respective place in public relationships that pattern is based in.

That's what bridges the gap between him being an earnest admirer of her work and him also having arranged his messages to contain those unpleasant subtleties that Teasdale elaborates on. Not necessarily intentionally, but should people who are on the wrong end of unpleasant treatment really care if someone meant to do it or not?

One of the hardest things about learning to communicate with people well is feeling pushed and making yourself stop and see where the line actually is. It's very easy to go straight to the kneejerk reaction that you're being attacked, but what if you were on the other side of the line without realizing it? I think a fair way to characterize this situation is that he put his toes over the line without realizing it and they got stepped on.

@eribuster: Apparently she's been fired before. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume she's not a great employee and this wasn't the only thing that led to her firing. Also, Washington is an at will employment, meaning someone can be fired at any time for any reason. If you ran your own company (I do) and had to deal with an employee attacking customers on twitter with sexist remarks you'd understand.

The legal right to do something and a thing being morally right to do are often very different, especially when it comes to labor rights in the US. I can understand that being in a management role has its difficulties but I think you might do well to consider the difficulty of having your livelihood dangle on another person's whim, or the immense stress that comes from your employment potentially being at stake in every public moment of your life.

I'll also add that calling this a sexist attack shows a very shallow understanding of what sexism is and the problems it creates in a workplace.

Here's one of those comments telling you stuff about the game you guys mentioned looking forward to

Side missions will open up after you go to the apartment. You don't lose access to them by progressing the main story, so don't worry about that. There are dialogue pop-ups as soon as you get anywhere near them so they're hard to miss. You're sure to naturally run into most of them just going from place to place. Some stores will have side quests once you get to chapter 6 like the bowling alley.

On the abilities screen if you hit triangle you can look at a list of heat moves and the conditions needed to use them. Generally it involves grabbing someone, knocking someone down or holding a weapon, but there are some interesting exceptions. The names are also very fun to read. I think you guys would enjoy looking through it.

Love the show, can't wait for the next episode!

You don't have to unlock characters, you can play any character straight out of the gate. The mastery stuff is just skins and card packs.
