A day too late - this was just on sale on Switch all last week and I was contemplating it but ended up passing. Maybe I'll check it if it goes on sale again.
@grizzlybutts: Agreed, I really wish this had Mega Man & Bass and the arcade Power Fighters/Battle games rather than 9 & 10, since 9 and 10 aren't really "legacy"
I'm just finding it conceptually weird to have this OS stuff around a fantasy game. I think they could've come up with a pretty fascinating hollywood hacking JRPG anology. Basically have all the same mechanics but travelling along the information superhighway instead of dirt tracks between medieval villages.
I think it makes a lot of sense, I have plenty of great memories playing various RPGs on DOS/Win3.1/95. That equipped items/player window looks like it'd fit in perfectly in Ultima Underworld.
That said, I'm by no means against a hollywood hacking JRPG with this concept either. That also sounds great.
