I can't help but laugh as the main event contender for the WWE Championship LOST tonight. You can't make this stuff up, people.
I'm so glad that Jon Stewart wasn't involved in a cringeworthy segment and he actually made a couple of quality jokes while keeping it all within the current storyline. Best celebrity appearance in forever.
Joe needs to lose some weight, but other than that he might as well be God in ROH. I'm interested to see if they book him in the same way they used to a decade ago or if he's just another guy.
Main event ending sucked and the crowd hated it too.
I'm guessing that the Alberto El Patron run isn't going to last long and his goal was to come in and have a few matches and put some guys over. His match with Jay Lethal was a really good pro wrestling match that would have worked anywhere.
The Young Bucks continue to be completely ridiculous and I love it. I'm ready to see Kyle O'Reily move on to singles competition.
AJ Styles is never going to lose outside of NJPW as long as he's the IWGP Champion, but his match with ACH was great. ACH is one of those guys that's destined to be picked up by WWE down the road and matches like this help him get there.
Moose is a good prospect, hopefully he develops into something special down the line.
Nothing really stands out except for that really. Nothing on the show was offensive except for the main event.
From the historical perspective Rousey being as dominant as she is, is super impressive. From the "hey pay $50+" to watch this fight perspective... Fuck that. That has kind of been my big problem with MMA in general is the fights are ether super passive and boring to watch or over in 30 seconds.
I've paid for a UFC show a few times and I'm always unsatisfied with my purchase. The best way to watch UFC is at a bar with people if you ask me, that way you accept whatever happens and at least have a good time doing so.
Once again, if WWE doesn't smarten up and get started making anyone in this woman's division interesting, then they fucked up by never bringing in Ronda Rousey to do some kind of WrestleMania promotion. She is on another planet from every other woman in terms of any kind of athletics.
If you guys actually think that WWE plans on having Daniel Bryan win the IC Championship at WrestleMania, and then go on to restore the title back to its glory days then.....
