Learning to cook is a great skill. When I first started out I relied on take-out and fast food crap, leaving me behind the 8 ball when I got out of college and decided that I wanted to get my shit together. Spending $15 on food every day seems small, but it adds up pretty fucking fast. It's also orders of magnitude easier to eat healthy and stay in good shape when you cook your own meals.
Also, go to your bank and get a credit card. A for real, non-ATM credit card. It doesn't matter how small the limit is, just use it sparingly and pay it off right away every month. After a few months, get a gas card or other credit card, and do the same thing. When it comes time to actually get financing for something big, like a car or house, you will have established credit, which is huge as a young person.
Lastly, stay connected with family when you move out. There's nothing like knowing you have people you can turn to when you legitimately need help, whether it's money, advice, or anything else.
