Ubisoft Montpellier's take on the first World War is a surprisingly heartfelt adventure.
Many games try to use nostalgia to lure you in, but few of them are as well-made as Shovel Knight.
Watch Dogs is a solid open-world game that doesn't do enough to set itself apart from the pack.
that trailer was ridiculous lol
I preferred Scorched Earth.
I just came in here to say the same exact thing. Fuck yea Scorched Earth!
THAT game was so awesome! talk about redefined a generation that did. As for this video I'm suprised that neither Jeff or Brad really played worms that much, such a 90s classic game and in the new engine the game looks and plays awesome. This is basically clan wars, and even had some things named as clan wars even though you select battlegrounds, seems a bit cheapish and probably just should have kept the clan wars name instead of changing that. There is a LOT of features missing that this game desperately needs which they left out of revolution, and then patched that stuff in, well half of what people wanted, and then left EVERYTHING out in clan wars. Biggest limitation is only 5 themes, so sad, this game needs at least 12 to at the VERY least keep it interesting, Clan Wars died really quick on PC and I think lack of themes and lack of solo options really is the reason.
This is just clan wars for consoles basically.... Now that the consoles have the power to run the new worms engine properly, think is a really good game to have on your console, lots of fun are carnage with humorous ways to die with wacky stuff!
Been playing Unreal Tournament games since the very beginning and still play UT3 regularly with the wife and as absolutely stoked I am they are making a brand new UT game, I'm shocked in disappointment that they've gone down the route of making it free, and allowing modders/mappers to sell what they create. I'm not going to spend actual real money for some mods and maps I just wont do it.. This actually alienates all what Epic has stood for over the past 15 years in giving the tools to the community to be able to make something truly awesome and add onto a game to make a really true unique experience.
This will actually mean a lot less content in being made because you have to spend $20 just to even get access to the game engine and then subscription of $20 a month there after if you plan on getting updates for the engine itself which you will need to do as things brake, performance tweaks and what you will be essential to edit inside the engine properly. This could be a good thing, in the way that you will see much more higher quality content being made perhaps, but it takes away the basement high school developer for making mods and maps and what have you, the more casual gamer who likes to mod or create a map every now and then.
The argument would be this could be a way for people to get into the industry, making some really awesome content getting to know the engine and selling it, but this has always been in the Unreal games anyway, with the "Make Something Unreal" $1million contest where the best mappers, designers, modders make into the games industry this way anyway.
It only has been announced at this current time 9 hours ago so its a LONG ways off it hasn't even started yet so we'll have to wait and see what happens, but I am concerned about having to pay for every piece of content that gets created now. The game might be free, but at what cost will I eventually have to pay in order to get the traditional unreal tournament experience in the end? Not going to pay $5 just to simply add a Malcom Character into the game or a $9.99 fee for a community mappack of 4 maps? This could dangerously get out of control quite quickly.
Does look damn impressive... actually looks better then EVE-Online's main game now haha!! Hope there are dynamic missions and have good variety. Its a pity no one has a made an ACTUAL Battlestar Galactica game like this, can you imagine just how purely awesome that could be? if you could step out of your ships, land on planets? while constantly being hunted down by the Cylons? hell frakking yeah baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but this will do for now I suppose :D
Looks like its some type of Video Interactive game where you unlock clues in the cloud chamber, depending on where you go, or what you do inside the chamber to discover the final conclusion on the mystery of the game with the story being told through some sort of video diarys. Bit weird but interesting on some levels. Its not very ummm... gameplay friendly from what was in that trailer.
its basically a whole new updated concept of what a 10 year old free-to-play MMO is... Called Subspace Continuum.... that's all it is.. its the same game just updated massively... ..
Just very disappointing this whole franchise is no longer available for the PC.... If only then I would buy it in a heart beat, PC has no other ice hockey games apart from EA's NHL... such a shame... The hours lost over the years thanks to this franchise on the PC is immense for me and my buddy's back in the day heh
sorry to see you leave Patrick think you've been awesome!!! I hope you can still attend the bombcast regularly via skype or something... good luck!
