I think that whoever wrote this article or inspired it has some real self-esteem issues. I don't know if it's different from a woman's perspective than a man's, but I've always been proud to tell others that I play video games . I have been chuckled a t a few times for saying that I spent my weekend or day off playing game, but mostly it' comes from people whose intelligence is already questionable so it doesn't phase me. I also disagree with the writer saying that video games haven't "grown up". Games such as Uncharted and Heavy Rain, prove the potential maturity that video games have acquired. For me it's as though the industry and my generation grew up together. You can relate whats expected in games today to how our view of what is socially acceptable has changed through the stories and graphic content, and you can almost chronologically document our knowledge and application of technology (with a few exceptions) sometimes by just simply viewing the cover art. We have really seen what video games can become and the important impact they can have on our society through extraordinary stories, convincing characters, and undeniable advance in computer animation and programming.

When I enter my URL to add my steam account my avatar shows up but my achievements and games played do not. I DO have my account set to "public" but still no luck. Anyone else having this problem?
