This seems more ridiculous than scary, which suits me just fine! By the way, the beginning of this reminded me of a quick look Dan and Vinny did of some scary house game where, among other things, vases and chairs flew across the room. Then the game just ended after less than an hour or so. Does anyone remember what that game was called? It was a very funny quick look.

I'm very tickled by Brad's misconceptions about the SC-55. He talked about it the same way a few HotSpots ago. Photos he's seen on the internet have misled him. It is not the size of a VCR. It's a half-rack unit which means it's barely wider than a VCR tape. It only weighed about 3 pounds. It also was not thousands of dollars when it was released, nor was the MK2.
What I'm saying is, go buy one Brad, they're less than $200 on eBay and it won't take up much space!
Abby's voice issue sounds exactly like what happens when you record at 48khz and playback at 44.1khz. The occasional clipping sound is from the audio skipping to keep up when the transient cuts from a high value.
Dan was my "jumping on point" for Giant Bomb, and I can't thank him enough for the years of golden content he has made happen. But of course the site quickly became much more to me than just having Dan in it, so this is a bittersweet moment as both he and Giant Bomb evolve further today.
