Because Story of Seasons, Harvest Moon, Stardew Vallehy, and every game in between never pretends to be anything else. You know it's a relaxing game where everything is slow right away. RDR2 is about outlaws who rob trains and shoot people. Nothing says "Oh, also every animation will be 10 seconds long".

Im in the same boat as you. Though, I did play Spyro at a friend's occasionally, but never finished it or anything. I bough Spyro and Crash on PC recently, played the first game from each for a bit, and neither feels good to play imo.

Lets not turn this into something it's not. This has absolutely nothing to do with sexism. If Vinny, Dan, or Alex made this video these comments would be exactly the same. The QL comes from a place of ignorance, it has absolutely nothing to do with who made it.

Remember the Metro QL and all the shit Dan got for it? Why is that reaction ok, but this isn't? Both QLs are done by people with no interest or knowledge on the subject, and yet they're supposed to be treated differently?

To add a bit, I am fully aware that being a woman in the industry is hard, and that Abby deals with FAR FAR more bullshit than the guys do. But this? This ain't it. This is a woefully misinformed QL, nothing more nothing less. There's no hidden agenda here. At least not HERE, I have no idea what the fuck Youtube is doing.

Alright, lets put it this way.

Lets assume for a moment that Vinny has never played a platformer. A new Mario game comes out, Vinny is put in charge of the Quick Look. Vinny's entire criticism of the game is "I don't like it because there's too much jumping". Every single one of you will be all over him because that's what platformers ARE. Its' what theyre known for.

Now, why does Abby get a pass for doing the exact same thing? She has a fundamental misunderstanding of cRPGs, but that's ok because... what?

Look, I don't think anyone's mad at Abby for not liking the game. People are upset because she doesn't understand anything about how the game works, gives wrong info, and then claims its a bad game. Its like if I tried to play Witcher 3 as an asshole, and then said the game was bad because it only allowed me to be an asshole.
