I could sense the foam coming out of the audiences mouths.

So I was watching the first Judgment Day after Battleground just for the heck of it. It has one weird-ass match: Mankind VS Ken Shamrock for the IC Title. It isn't too weird otherwise but at one point Shamrock takes a chair to Foley's head right in front of the ref, and the ref doesn't DQ him. JR then proceeds to go on this tirade about how the referee just wants to give Mick a "fair shot at the title" or something. So uh. Was it normal for Shamrock to fuck up all the time in shows or was this a one-time thing? I have a real hard time believing that was particularly intentional since the foreign object -stuff is basically the sole rule WWE tries to enforce consistently.

PS. Holy fuck was the Disciples of Apocalypse -entrance painful to watch.

PPS. I kind of regret not being around wrestling when this stuff was going on because 10-year old me would've loved Val Venis.
