How can anyone say the Beastcast crew are shills when everyone knows it's Jeff over on the Bombcast pushing Rockstar Energy Drinksâ„¢ and Red Bullâ„¢ that's the real shill. FOLLOW THE MONEY
So for anyone curious about the Dota2 forum hacking incident Jeff was talking about I suggest checking out the article the white/grey hat (depending how you feel about some of their practices) group that discovered it put out https://www.leakedsource.com/blog/dota
The TLDR is that Valve runs a separate Dota 2 forum then the one on Steam that is meant as a developer focused forum for talking about bugs/patches/balance/etc and on July 10th it was breached through SQL injection. The breach included theft of all user data none of which was properly encrypted (they used MD5 a notoriously easy one to decrypt). This user data contained: username, password, and IP address. This was not a breach of Steams forums but the forum itself was quite popular with over 1.9 million registered users.
The thing that has upset most users is that despite Valve being aware of this breach no one was notified of it until press became aware of it. That meant an entire month passed of Valve knowing they had leaked user info which included passwords but choose not to inform their users. People who had foolishly chosen to reuse the same passwords on multiple sites meant they could have been compromised further during this time.
@jeff in regards to your cable problem I would suggest just getting a nice looking rug for the hallway. You can run the cable tucked in near the baseboard and then when it crosses the hallway have it under a rug no one will notice it and people will just think you're a classy person who has good taste in rugs.
Also put yourself on the do not call registry https://www.donotcall.gov/ this doesn't get you out of political, nonprofit, or survey calls but it does (supposedly) make it illegal for telemarkters to call you.
