5 is just better imo, unless you specifically want the setting of 4 I wouldn't bother. Whichever one you don't play, if you like the other, you will like that one too. They're basically the same game
Obviously it's a bummer but I am absolutely interested in whatever Jeff G/B (hah, kinda funny), Jan, Jason, Rorie, etc. do next. Sleeping if you don't think it could potentially be great
Please keep doing this sort of original feature, I love reading these. Every blog in the world posts the same old news, it gets tedious. Thank you for bringing something unique to the table, it's much appreciated.
I, personally, was not emotionally moved by this project. However, for me, this project highlights the possibility for emotionally impacting games in the future.
Is this a game? I don't know, but I do know I'd like to see something similar in the future.
It's just amazing to think that, if you create a virtual space with some toys, traveling and communication functions, it will blossom with virtual life. At the same time, it's a little sad to think how so many people rely software like Home because they cannot bring themselves to communicate with others in the real world.
Why is it sad, exactly? Is it sad because they go about their business differently than you do? Great article, I love these interesting pieces Patrick has been putting out.
Looks like a Second Life rip-off to me & not really a game. If you need social interaction, probably it's better to get out of the house & do it instead of being lazy & being online.
I don't think its sad at all. If anything, I'm glad the people who play this have found a niche in which they can enjoy themselves. Who am I to pass judgment upon someone for socializing online? But to most, if you're doing something that isn't socially acceptable by their standards, it doesn't matter if you're enjoying yourself; you're a loser.
The music in AC games is fucking fantastic. Can't wait for this.
One thing I don't understand, is the new emphasis on gun fighting. Maybe, though I doubt it, the new game will include a mode where you will not have 185 missiles, because at that point, there really is no reason to use your cannons.

Most probably don't remember this, but wasn't this guy on the livestream with Dave when the site was down? I remember a Scandinavian afflicted with what he described as Autism, and he learned English from playing RPGs.
