Thoughts on the Call Of Duty phenomenon is Activision to blame?

Firstly, Call Of Duty is not an outright bad game imo. The original took what Medal of Honor done and made it better. The problem is what it has done to gaming.

It is now what to gaming, aids is to Uganda. People try say "it's because it's popular it's cool to hate".

No, it's because it's shit, it encourages more monetization by the company behind it being greedy cunts showing other chancing greedy cunts how far they can take it. It promotes a lack of innovating as well with uninspired clones and games that have, fuckall to do with it (Syndicate/Fallout/Skyrim/Xcom) being like it in order to get a share of that money pot. More bleeding people dry, less risks. Making familiar shit for the gazillion fucking billion trillion people playing it.

It's over-priced on the pc. Here, a pc game is £29. For £39 you can buy Call Of Duty. Why? Because they know they can. People will buy it. 6 hour single player, recycled multiplayer for £10 more than a proper manly pc game like Shogun 2 that you can play for 100 hours over and over. It's shitty port as well.

Is activision to blame? Is Bobby Kotick the devil?

No, you are to fucking blame for buying it.
