Sorry to be critical, but where's the pop filters and audio compressors? The audio quality on this video is not of the high quality I have come to expect from Giant Bomb.
Is there even a single frame of destruction in this? All I see are explosions, and before it clears any you can see anything it cuts. Pretty lame when their CG trailer was buildings crumbling.
This was the last time the game was shown:

I don't think this exists any more. If it did, surely you'd highlight it when you're trying to sell a brand new console?
Yeah they pretty clearly bailed on this. It seemed incredibly hard to pull off and it turns out it must have been.
I have been wondering lately if Red Faction Guerilla was just some wonderful piece of programming work or something. No one does cool destruction like it. It's too bad.
Noticed this during the conference. This seemed like the main selling point and what they showed was not one bit impressive.
It's too bad because a game with detailed destruction like this would be a must-buy for me. What I saw in the trailer didn't feel nearly as compelling.
I was a big fan of IF text games back in the day. Something I moved on from along with most of the rest of the gaming community, eventually. But I still think fondly of them. I hadn't heard of a few of the games on this list (including Stories Untold itself) but now I want to check them out at some point. Thanks for this great analysis.
Based on that survey Ubisoft did after the release of FC4 that asked players what they wanted next from the series, it turns out they just ignored their fan base and gave us this instead.
This game was probably half finished by the time that survey came out.
