I always thought all the lyrical songs were a bit weird and corny because they were translated from Japanese, but I'm not sure how true that is. They hold a special, corny place in my heart anyway.

@lyndbako: Ohh yeah that's true, been a long time since I played Fever. The zooming out of the Monkey Watch reminded me of the zooms in Lockstep, maybe that's why I relate those two. Space Soccer alwa...

Ahh Monkey Watch, Fever's Lockstep. I still think Lockstep is harder, but bouncing between on and off beats was always the hardest things in these games for me. And what timing, too, I was just lament...

Congrats, Jan! Good on you for sticking with it, despite seeming like a real struggle at times.Hope the next series, whatever it is, is just as good!

  • wobblysnake posted a message on the post Ubisoft Forward Livestream (07/12/2020).

I wish Ubisoft would make more games like For Honor, a real quality original IP, instead of rehashing these cookie-cutter open worlds. We have Cyber Open World 3, Historic-Fantasy Open World 11(?) and ...

  • wobblysnake posted a message in the forum topic Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen vs Dark Souls - Which is the better game?. on the General Discussion board

I think the way I see it, especially when comparing purely in terms of combat mechanics and design, Dragon's Dogma gets better and better the deeper you get, while Dark Souls (1 at least) gets worse ...

    Wait, Jan's name is Jerome?

  • wobblysnake posted a message on the post The Bloodborne Identity with Jan: Part 20.

Damn, Jan, so close! I'm sure he's got it next time!If he reads advice from the comments, I would personally suggest taking a slower approach and prioritize stamina. Maybe it was just the tilt, but at...

  • wobblysnake posted a message on the post The Bloodborne Identity with Jan: Part 19.

Good stuff Jan as always. I hope he continues on to Dark Souls 3 or another Souls game after he's finished the hunt, Breaking Bad Demon's Souls and Load Our Last Souls is some of my favourite content ...

Wow congrats Jan!Currently playing through Bloodborne for the first time myself and finally defeated Ebrietas right before watching this after several days and dozens of attempts; Seeing Jan eviscerat...

  • wobblysnake posted a message on the post Ep 305 - Blair Witch.

I'm glad that this seems to have a bit more meat on it's bones than the other games for this year's Crazy Frights (bar SOMA, of course). Would've been cool to get a continuation, since I doubt I'm gon...

  • wobblysnake posted a message on the post Ep 302 - Rise of Insanity.

Man, these first person indie horror games from Steam are so generic and lifeless. Still a fun watch from Abby and Mahardy, regardless, but it would be real cool to see more variety.Maybe a Rule of Ro...

  • wobblysnake posted a message on the post 0044: The Last Blade & Million Arthur Arcana Blood.

As a kid whose entire exposure to Neo Geo games was the emulator on my OG Xbox, I always liked Last Blade so much more than SamSho, so it's real nice to see it getting some love.

  • wobblysnake posted a message on the post Astral Chain.

This is a real bad game to show off in short format, it's so dense and just visually hard to parse in a lot of ways that speeding through it is just going to be confusing to someone that hasn't gone t...

  • wobblysnake posted a message on the post Episode 02.

@the_nubster: This has been the case since Beast in the East, though with certain games it doesn't seem to be a huge deal. I don't recall Abby having much difficulty picking up RE2 weekly for instance...

I was really looking forward to both the Quick Looks for this and Ancestors since they both seem like really interesting games, but having now watched them it's becoming really hard to take the Beast ...
