Please spin this off into its own separate feature. Clearly a ton of people want you to play it to completion, but for those of us that don't, it's kind of defeating the purpose of the weekly votes.

I didn't even bother putting my suggestions in because I knew the cult of Strange was just going to continue to demand you play it every single week.

@xerseslives: Wait how uh ... How is it defeating the purpose of voting when people are voting for this game? It sounds like the exact purpose of voting is to determine which game people want to see played the most. What a weird way to look at it! But it's a "cult" because they don't want to watch your game? So sad.

It defeats the purpose of a weekly vote if the result feels predetermined, yes. Especially if people feel actively discouraged from voting for anything else because the result clearly won't be different until they finish LiS.

And to act like this game doesn't have an extremely passionate (often to the point of overbearing) fan base is naive.

So save the misguided pity.

You have been completely hitting the nail on the head, I couldn't agree more with you!

The overbearing fan base for this game is so strong and feel such a huge need where they just have to tell how much they like it and how much they want to force GBE to play it because it's supposed to be a GOTY (lol) that all that voting for what to play on this show just doesn't even matter anymore. They could just switch this to a "Playdate" like Contradiction and Until Dawn and keep the original purpose of this show. When "Choose Our Own Adventure!" was announced, I saw it as some kind of smaller UPF mixed with a live Quick Look, where they would play a different random game selected by the users on each episode, I think something like that would be way better.

I think it is pretty disingenuous to blame the fanbase of this game. I mean, if you want to place a blame on why this game is getting voted forcibly (and it's only been two streams), it is the Giant Bomb Community. It's not like the fans of this game are are creating GB accounts to purposely vote for this game.

I semi-understand your frustration. I mean, I am part of the group that wants them to play the game to completion because I honestly think this game is one of the best of the year. But this feature is about people voting what they want to see, and people clearly want to see more of Life is Strange

I really enjoyed Vinny's reaction to the rewind time game mechanic. I don't know if Austin or Alex told him beforehand off screen, but it actually seemed really genuine that he didn't know that it was a major part of the game.

Not sure why they bother putting Rorie on there any more, as he doesn't seem like he wants to be there at all. There's gotta be someone who would like to fill a chair on UPF

Did you not watch the live-stream of this show? The audio and stream kept giving out early on (the stream box died according to Jason) so Rorie was busy on his laptop reading chat to see how the stream was going. That's why he seemed more interested in his laptop this stream

Have you even watched any other live stream Rorie is in? This isn't the first time he looks barely interested. He always makes a point of paying half attention, and then always finds himself not knowing what's going on. Asking questions or pointing thing out that have already been answered or discussed ages ago. And that's only when he's not nitpicking on every little detail of a game.

Look, no offense to Rorie at all. From stories I've heard, he's a great guy and an amazing person to know. He really does an awesome job at connecting with the Giant Bomb community on the site and being super quick to resolving issues. I love him for that. But as an on camera personality, I can't stand him. Sure he has his moments, but I'm always baffled when people say they love seeing him on the streams.

Fair enough. I like Rorie and much prefer them to having Rorie on the couch looking at chat rather than what they used to do with having an intern off camera monitoring chat, and could only chime in when Ryan would say "Hey, anything going on in the chat?" Rorie gets a lot of chat participation within the livestreams
