I just want to reiterate once more how gross I find it when people think anyone is being "too negative" about corporate products. It's not Giant Bomb's job to be impressed and excited about corporate advertising. It's the job of the corporation to excite US.
And fellas, this didn't do it. And that's coming from someone who's looking forward to some of these games. The presentation just did absolutely nothing for me.
If you "can't take it anymore" that people aren't super giddy about video games, because video games are an "escape" for you, then you may have deeper issues which perhaps need a solution that doesn't rely on the excitement of people you don't even know to keep your mood positive. You should come here to be entertained, not for confirmation bias or fake glee. If you're no longer entertained, that's normal. No one is entertained by one thing forever. But becoming a bitter child about it won't solve anything.
Yeah sorry I don't find a bunch of negativity entertaining lol
If you boil it down to "positivity" or "negativity" and that's your take away from an hour and a half stream, perhaps you'd prefer something a little more to your tastes... I know of plenty of Youtubers who squeal with glee when they open a lootbox or see a sequel to a game they play. Please, go enjoy some "positivity." Mmm, suck down that glittery corporate propaganda with a smile.

I don't like how the game keeps getting easier. If you keep everything when you die then dying is just a minor inconvenience! Dying must be PAINFUL and it's not just for me to get my rocks off!
According to the Steam page, there are over 900 demos for this promotion. I don't see how it's anything but noise after a while.
This sentiment always strikes me as odd. You aren't meant to, like, sort through all 900 demos yourself. You're meant to check out ones in genres you like, or maybe have something catch your eye, and more importantly, hear word of mouth over some of the real hidden gems since there's millions of Steam users. Like Shady Knight. Shady Knight is fucking dope. Go play it.
@ph00p: "RECEIVED THIS PRODUCT FREE reviews are weighed the same as reviews that might seem worth reading."
Surely receiving a game for free wouldn't make it seem a better/worse game?
I'd say most new releases on Steam receive a more negative hit due to the marketing being at its height during that period. (Also more people have misconceptions about what the game is and isn't rectified, for better or worse).
I've never been much of an ARPG fan but this one seems about as generic as Minecraft Dungeons (Not to say it's bad, just not great/interesting).
Yet "professional" reviews have traditionally been the most trusted and are almost exclusively received for free.
ha i made it to the future hopefully they released persona 5.
Not yet.
I'm from the even further future and I have good news for Past You!
I'm from even furtherer in the future and we finally got P4G on a platform other than the Vita! And a mainline Persona title on a non-Sony platform! Huzzah! More good games for more people!
Was both slightly disappointing, and a much better presentation than I was expecting, if that makes any sense. Aside from Ratchet (which still had disguised loading screens, short ones but infinitely more than the claimed zero, I was getting sick of that dimension transition by the end of the trailer) nothing really showed off why the PS5 is the "most exciting hardware in 20 years."
That's not to say there weren't a lot of cool games, but actually going over the list, almost everything I was interested in was coming to PC, and some of it was coming to everything.
Not that that's a bad thing, I'm not a fan of exclusives to begin with and would be happier if consoles worked like DVD/Blu-Ray players and were sold by what features and build quality they had over what games they didn't allow to be put elsewhere, but hey, that's the industry.
In any case, hoping Microsoft fires back hard next month. Best part of this as a mainly PC gamer (though I do own a PS4 and Switch) is that I know I'll get most of whatever is shown, so bring on the games!
