Anyone interested in buying this at launch should immediately go buy a Playstation Camera thing off ebay or gamestop while they are still very very cheap.

Scott Manley is the best. His YouTube channel is key to figuring the game out, and learning how all the physics and science work in game and in real life along the way.

Super looking forward to Vinny trying to rescue that one kerbal headed to out of Kerbin's SOI though!

As long as it has way more content and customization options I'll be on board, the first game lost my interest after a few days of playing because of that.

Wow! very impressed with the improvements over the previous game!

My main complaint with the first game was the lack of content and variety, but this looks to have a lot of factions and upgrades/research opportunities. Very excited for this now!

I couldn't help but get excited for their meetup attempt with the stranded craft, even though I realized how hopelessly screwed they were from the beginning hahaha. Great moment.

Some tips:

- Turn towards the ocean from the launchpad, so you end up in the right orbit.

- Minimum orbit is 70k, if you're lower than that you'll get pulled back down, aim for 75k or 80k apoapsis before you start adjusting your orbit.

- Parachute icons turn red when you can't deploy them without ripping them off, they're not burnt off if the icon is red.

- Where you plan the maneuver from makes a huge difference! If you wanted to match orbits, you should place the maneuver at the spot where the orbits intersect. No matter what you try, you'll never be able to create an orbit around the equator by doing your burn at the north pole.

- You want to burn at your periapsis (lowest point of orbit) to increase your apoapsis (highest) most efficiently. Likewise burning retrograde from your apoapsis is the most efficient way of decreasing your orbit. Basically whatever way you burn has the most effect on the opposite side of the orbit!

- Basically for rendezvousing with something in space: Match orbital planes, overlap your orbits in one spot and wait till you're close, right when you are super close to each other, you burn to make your orbit match the target's orbit. If you have the same orbit, you are going the same direction at the same speed.

You guys definitely had the right ideas this episode, just need to get the right orbit from launch. Reading up on what the icons all mean will save you a lot of grief as well.

A little over $900 Canadian for me after tax.

I think Oculus is mostly to blame for not getting out in front of this, especially when most people were expecting $350-500. They absolutely just PS3'd themselves and gave everyone huge sticker shock.

I was prepared to buy the Rift almost regardless of price because its a piece of enthusiast tech I'm interested in, and I'm willing to pay the premium to be an early adopter. Oculus should have done a better job clarifying that this thing was going to be expensive, and it did itself a huge disservice by not announcing the price until the preorder went up. I actually assumed they were waiting to blow everyone away with a lower than expected price...

Either way, I don't think most people really considered they'd need several hundred dollars of computer upgrades to really run Rift games properly - 2 screens at 90fps is no joke. It's hard to tell from the moving expected date, but I hope the Rift CV1 will do well so we can get a cheaper and better CV2 in a few years.

As an aside: Oculus keeps moving the expected date back as more people preorder, but you don't need to pay to preorder, so I suspect many people are reserving one just in case. I hope they don't push the release back a bunch with reservations that will never be claimed.

This game bums me out. I really loved the old Anno games, but this one removed a lot of what I like about them. Would love to see them revisit 1404 and bring back multiplayer.
