I'm happy about this simply because I don't want to save my credit card information on my Steam account, but I'm not thrilled that I have to input it with every purchase.  In the past I just had to suck it up, but now I can purchase a bunch of funds at once, and then spend them at my leisure without saving my info.

@Murtaug:  As far as the franchise after the trilogy of Shepard, I hope they continue Mass Effect in a similar manner to Dragon Age: Origins.  I would love the ability to select different races, each one having a different set-up story, to fight some new galactic threat.  I agree with you that the Reapers are the baddest of the bad, but maybe the next threat won't need to be something so devastating.  Both the Rachni and the Krogan were perceived as galactic threats at points in the past, so maybe some sort of organic race will be the new enemy.  Without spoiling too much, there is certainly an organic race that seems as if they can be just as threatening to the galaxy, if not even more threatening than the Krogans during the Krogan Rebellions.

@nirokogaseru: I just picked up Retribution yesterday, so I haven't read it yet.  I'm excited to see how she continues to play a part in the overall plot.  My main reason for wanting her as a squadmate is her overall attitude, and demeanor.  I want a hardcore, ruthless, mercenary type Asari team member.  Don't get me wrong, I love Liara, but she's just too polite and naive in the first game.  Samara, and the concept of the Justicars, is cool but "the code" always translated to her having the proverbial stick up her butt.  Morinth was easily my favorite possible Asari squadmate, but she seemed almost like an afterthought and wasn't fleshed out as a character as much as I would have liked.

The character I want most as a squadmate is Aria T'Loak.  I also think Kal'Reegar, or another combat hardened male Quarian marine, would make a great addition to the squad.  I also want to encounter a Turian and/or Salarian female...maybe even a Krogan female, at some point during my travels across the galaxy.
