Wow that's really interesting. So it surpassed expectations? The game is developed in that country so, i guess that won't be happening for us. it looks pretty nice for a traveling store.
Yeah i kinda want to chuckle at some of the explicit levels also. But i don't think having the "Warning, This content may not be suitable for children! " is going to stop anyone, if anything it always makes them more curious. Of course it would be funny if it had that but the level was just a 360 themed stage.
It's going to be interesting once the game comes out. I bet the exploding first few months will be full of that crap until later on people will start to mellow out.
Sounds like a potical struggle from the future. Can you imagine sack boys on TV and the media going all " THAT'S BAD FOR MY CHILDREN!" and hot coffee with a bunch of sack boys?
ARe people going to be able to flag levels and created stuff as offensive and stuff and have that person banned? I really really hope not. While i do think that if i had a kid i wouldn't want him to see someone's playstation eye created sticker of penis made into a mountain (that would be funny). It feels a bit offensive not to have total creative freedom though.
I'd hype it on the wii. the pointing features actually kind of make sense when creating a level. None the less, i'm glad its coming on playstation 3, its my most anticipated game. Even though it isn't on Wii, There's going to be a lot of user created levels that are going to be copied exactly from super mario games.
Seriously. Final Fantasy XII was just like the most controversial thing they ever put out. To a lot of people, it fucked up the 'final fantasy formula' but to me it represented the flexibility and willingness to evolve. Even Dragon Quest, which has always been be uptight the same damn game it has been forever, found a way to innovate without changing the game design or gameplay in DQVIII ( Level 5 Developed). They made the World Map into something living and breathing. They balanced and actually took out spells to have tighter strategy.
