I buy everything on steam when I can, but lets be honest here, after a certain point the only way to play many games is to either buy them second hand or pirate them. Many, many, many, many games would be forever lost and forgotten if it wasn't for emulation and piracy. Sure, some stuff gets re-released on services like GOG and Virtual Console, but lots of good games are no longer available for purchase in ways that actually benefits the developer/publisher. I feel like without piracy vast amounts of gaming history would be lost and never be able to be enjoyed widely by younger gamers.

If it has a web browser built-in you can probably run a local webserver and browse your media collection through some sort of web application. Then you could watch videos using flash or html5.

That fact that there is no media streaming will only be a problem for the first year of the console. People will find some work around for it.

Does anyone actually know where to download this?

I looked at the ocufes.jp webpage that the youtube video mentions, but the closest I could find was Mikulus Kinect. However, that doesn't seem to support the Novint Falcon.

One of the things I find interesting about free-to-play games is how some of the Japanese gaming companies are already involved in gambling through pachinko. Both Sega Sammy and Konami make a sizable amount of their earnings off pachinko (and in Konami's case also outright selling casino management software), and both seem to be acutely aware of the promises and risks of free-to-play's gambling angle.

Here is a nice quote from Sega's recent annual report:

http://www.segasammy.co.jp/english/ir/library/pdf/printing_annual/2012/ssh_ar12e_0925final.pdf

While focused on creating quality games, in addition to frequent players we will also view casual players—who comprise the majority of the market—as a key target. I believe seeking out more interesting games and more beautiful graphics is simply human nature. Additionally, the current trend toward self-regulation for games with a strong gambling element might become a tailwind for SEGA.

And here is another little quote from Konami's recent annual report:

In addition, the social content we develop for social networks have been rapidly growing because our games can be played free of charge, a feature that has obtained support from players. If this type of game is deemed to be harmful to players’ interest in light of commonly accepted social norms, legal regulations may be imposed by the government, which could potentially impact the growth of content for social networks. In cooperation with the social platform operators, we will endeavor to improve the health and soundness of the social content business by taking appropriate measures as needed.

hmmmmm, so they couldn't live up to that prerender they did 7 years ago just like FF13 when you compare pre render and it's final in game. This does really document a story how Square handles their production even if it's through a microcosm of trailers released ever 4 years. They are still using PS2 assets, but their upping the resolution and adding new particle effects. I seriously hope Eidos is helping square with tech that isn't a PSP.

It looks way better than the gameplay trailer they showed a couple of years ago.
