How about we blame the asshole who shot the kids, leaving gamers and legal responsible gun owners the fuck alone...

I've never been a fan of his, I find his whole politicizing of the industry distasteful. But, whatever floats your boat. Some people like the dramatizing of shit that doesn't really matter in the end. That being said, I wouldn't go on Youtube and call him a nasty name, that isn't productive at all.

@panvixyl: it's no harder than having a list of all criminals.

I am a lifelong member of the NRA and also a lifelong player of games. I can see where he was coming from, media has become far more violent than it was even when I was growing up in the 80s and 90s. His references are laughable, and it makes me cringe, but I think he may be right in theory. I don't think it applies to everyone, but I think people who are delusional can really feed off violence in movies, and games. I feel like this doen't really apply to everyone, just like everyone who owns guns and has CCW's aren't going around shooting random children. The banning of violent media, and the banning of guns doesn't solve anything. Both are blanket solutions that corral everyone into the psycho brigade. Banning guns doesn't get them out of the hands of criminals, it gets them out of the hands of people who have a right to own them and want them to protect their family. One thing the media never reports is that all of these shootings have happened in "gun free zones", meaning, someone who can legally carry a gun cannot have one on the premises. That is one huge variable that a criminal doesn't have to worry about. There have been plenty of examples of legal guns saving lives, the media just never reports them because it doesn't further their agenda. In the end, personal responsibility can change everything. How about parents be more responsible and not buy M rated games for kids who shouldn't have them? Why didn't Adam Lanza's mother lock her guns up like all RESPONSIBLE gun owners do? In short, this whole situation is fucked.

Maybe these women just need to be assertive and stand up for themselves. And by that I mean in the workplace, not on Twitter like fucking whining teenagers.

Thank you Patrick for reminding me that as a white, 30 year old male I have had everything handed to me and I just don't understand how anyone can complain about such things.

1.) This isn't a gaming industry problem, it's a sexual harassment or discrimination in the workplace problem.

2.) Speak the fuck up about it, don't dwell on it and whine later on the internet. That is a good way to make ZERO progress.

I don't see how Gamespot should get any special recognition for having a Transgender working for them. I think people want equal treatment, not special treatment. They don't get "props" for hiring a white dude who's a poon hound.

The media in general is Liberal and it doesn't surprise me the games media is no different. Even though my views are different, I don't let it dictate my enjoyment of the content on this site. I just cringe sometimes during the bombcast and at some of the articles Patrick writes. That being said, I think Patrick is great at his job no matter what his political affiliation is.
