(Just to be clear up front, I am not legitimately angry, more slightly annoyed and amused)

I have grown to like Dan and his unique perspectives, but goddamn his stupid wolf argument is the height of "old Dan" ignorance. I think he might be trolling, but with Dan you never know. While a german shepherd that was been trained by police is dangerous, it is no comparison to a wolf. Wolves are apex predators, so there is not much in the food chain that they could not take out, especially in a pack. But even a single wolf against an unarmed martial artist would be a mismatch, one against an unarmed Dan would be a blood bath.

For example, a german shepherd can bite with a force of 238 PSI. Now compare that to a wolf: "A wolf’s normal bite force is around 400 pounds. If it is protecting itself, a large wolf can bite down with over 1,200 pounds of pressure" The average male wolf weighs 66-180 pounds, so lets split the difference and say 120lbs. A wolf that is 120lbs going quickly straight for a person's arm or neck with 600 PSI bite would be fatale for an average person not trained in combat or without any fight experience. You might get one shot to get it by the neck (which is no guarantee) and at how fast they move extremely unlikely. Maybe Dan should look into what wolves actually can do before he makes any more claims.

I'm waiting for the day when GB's humor doesn't stem from an underlying hatred of something / someone or false sense of superiority.

Oh wait, that was the 2008 - 2011 era of GB.

haha I can't not read this post in the most condescending voice possible. If you're going to take them to task for being so negative, you might not want the tone of your own post to be so acerbic and snide.

I am guessing from your earlier post that you might be an anime fan who gets a little defensive about any critique of the subculture. I think they were pretty clear that they were comparing the worst of each fandom, not damning the entire fandom (seems like they went out of their way to say this like 5 or more times). And if you can't acknowledge and laugh at the sometime ridiculous people and nature of something you love, I feel bad for you. I am a part of many fandoms for things I love, and take very seriously; but I also recognize that it is full of annoying jack-wagons who take it too far. I have been a metal fan for 25+ years and I still love it to this day. But you should see the stupid shit that happens as people fight between the slight minutia of sub-genres and what constitutes "real metal", I would take no offense about some having fun with the worst parts of my various fandoms.

I feel like Rainbow Six needs to worry more about showing me why I should spend $60 on it than why I should spend $60 on it and then spend $30 more on it.

Yea, this is kinda where I am with this too. Gameplay looks fun, but also looks like it could get old quick and might go more in the way of Evolve. Leaning more toward Just Cause 3 at the moment.
