If you have not played this game, buy it. I did not believe the hype, but after a few years of hearing about it and caved in. I was amazed, its a great game. Go get it now! And buy copies for your friends that don't own it!
$2.49 on steam right now
It was the same price. ON AMAZON LIKE THIS WHOLE WEEK. You can get Psychonauts, Stacking and Costume Quest for $7 bundled on Amazon.
Anyways, I bought it on Amazon because I never played it. I tried out the first couple minutes but I'll have to get back to it later. I liked what I saw from part of a walkthrough I saw a while back. Seems like a great game.
Thats like $5 too much.
Man. Thems is fighting words. This is one of my favourite games of all time, and is easily my favourite within the platformer genre.
Then lets fight son. Cause I haaaaaaaated this game when I played it.
It has its moments for sure. I don't think it deserves quite the level of praise it receives.
Probably the most reasonable attitude towards the game. Quirky writing that Double Fine is known for and some genuinely trippy level design that made for memorable platforming moments, but combat was weak and the game contained one of the most frustrating platform levels I have ever played:
@Demoskinos: Levitation is, to this very day, the most spectacular mechanic added to a 3D platformer. Moreover, the variety of creativity to that game's level design is unparalleled in the genre; Super Mario Galaxy being the runner-up. You go from a pseudo-adventure game in a gravity-defying mystery abstract neighbourhood world to a board game battle that you then have to navigate through. While I admit it may not be the most 'fun' game in the genre, it has more creativity oozing out of it than all of the notable N64 platformers combined. That is my stance on it.
